May he grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your counsel! Psalm 20:4Dear Coach's Wife,
Each day we are given tasks or goals to accomplish. Sometimes we are successful and sometimes we are not. Timing might be the issue. And as coaches' wives, we know timing is everything. Once second to slow or to fast the snap is over the QB's head or the linebacker is offsides. But God's timing is perfect. Everything that happens in our lives is by his timing. God knows what is best for us and He hears you! I promise sweet friend, God hears the desires of your heart. He will give you all you desire when the time is right. So patience is key. Have patience and trust in the Lord. As you pray today, thank the Lord for all he has done in your life and ask his permission and blessing in everything you do. Pray for the dreams of your heart and watch God work. Cheers, Mrs. Coach Windon

TCC Jackets 31 - Thomasville Bulldogs 0Week 2 brings us to the Rose City Rumble. The Jackets faced off against cross-town rival the Thomasville Bulldogs. This game brings everyone and their mother to the stadium. Thomasville is the Big Brother and our Jackets have not won in quite some time. This is another important W - and we got it! Two lightening delays later, we were able to finish the game. This game is considered apart of the Marines Great American Rivalry Series! Jackets blanked those Bulldogs and our QB was named MVP of the Game! No family photo tonight, due to the nature of this game and the weather. I decided to get a sitter. But I did manage to grab one with Coach.
Record: 2-0 Next Opponent: Bainbridge Bearcats “Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important; ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39Dear Coach’s Wife,
Sometimes it is hard to love the people in our lives. Whether it is by their words or actions, we can find every excuse in the book. If I am being honest, during the season there are times when I find it hard to love anything around me. It is important that we try and remember God didn't ask us to to die for Him, but to live for Him. What does living for him mean? It means to love. Love when the times are hard. Love with our time. Love with our energy. Love with our talents. Love with our resources. Love in keeping His Commandments. When we loving through the hard times is just as important as loving through the easy times. So during this season of life remember to breath and love. Cheers, Mrs. Coach Windon TCC Jackets 50 - Cairo Syrupmakers 7Week 1 was nothing but interesting. Before the game, we honored the TCC 92' State Championship Team. The boys were fighting for the Barnett's Creek Bucket. The Jackets have not had it since 2016, so it was mighty important that it be returned to Central. We fought the weather all night, with two lightening delays. Finally the game was called in the 4th Quarter with 9:37 left in the game - giving the Jackets the Dub! Again, no family picture tonight, Coach was too busy getting things off the field. I did get one with the Bucket! Record 1-0 Next Opponent: Cross Town Rival Thomasville Bulldogs “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13Dear Coach’s Wife,
It is so easy this time of year to lose your joy and peace. I don’t know about you, but I think about where I lost it. Did I leave it at home this morning while trying to get my family out the door to school? Did I leave it in the car when that person almost ran me over on my way to work? Did I leave it at my job when a colleague of mine came to give me some bad news? But here is the good news, you never really lost it. Our hope and joy is found in God. He is constant and never unfailing. When we keep our eyes on Him, we become filled with hope of all things new. Even our attitude. So don’t lose sight … easier said than done, right?! Well, when you lose sight, refocus back on God for our hope will be restored and our joy and peace made new again. As you pray today, think about where you could use God’s hope, joy, and peace? Cheers, Mrs. Coach Windon “And the father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.” Romans 8:27 NLTDear Coach’s Wife,
I was sitting in my son’s playroom surrounded by toys and thought where do I even begin. When my husband walked by and said, “What do you need?” My mind went blank. I did not know what to ask for. There are many times when I pray, I do not know what to ask the Lord for/help with because I am so overwhelmed. Here is our blessing, even when you do not know what to ask God for, the Holy Spirit prays for us. God wants His will to be done in your life. As you pray, ask God to speak to you and when you do not know what to ask for ask for His will to be done. Cheers, Mrs. Coach Windon TCC Jackets 67 - Cook County Hornets 21The Jackets came out on top! It was great to see our friends Dr. Slack and Coach Wheeler. I love and miss them dearly. Good to get our first win in the Jackets Nest. Didn't get a family photo tonight, Gunner Man was too excited about being on the field and getting to ride the bus back to the school. This was our Fall Scrimmage game; Week 1 starts August 19th. Until then Go Jackets! “In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire.” James 3:5 NLTDear Coach’s Wife,
There has been much debate about the tongue being the strongest muscle in our body. However, our tongue plays such an important role in our lives. It helps us eat, drink, and communicate. Without it, many of us would be lost in how to sustain our lives. But when it comes to speech our tongue can make wounds deeper than the longest and sharpest sword. We have all been hurt by words, by people close to us and bleacher coaches we do not even know. For me it is easy to lash out at my coach hubby, especially when he has not been home or around to help with the house or kids. It is easy to yell hateful words back to bleacher coaches who have no idea how hard our husbands have been preparing for the game/season. We must remember it takes on spark from our tongue to wound, kill or damage relationships with others. During your time of prayer today, ask God to help you speak the right words; words of healing, praise, encouragement, ones that help aling spirits and calm anxious minds. Cheers, Mrs. Coach Windon |
