TCC Jackets 48 - Veterans Warhawks 21Week 7 had our community potentially in the line of Hurricane Ian, we moved were forced to move our game from Friday to Wednesday. This was also our Homecoming Week, so plans had to change quickly! With this being this our 1st Region game and a shorten week; we were a bit nervous to say the least. The game theme was a Gold Out! I made some capes for Gunner man and Coach Dallas. He was so cute. It finally felt like fall weather! The coolest play of the night was when our QB hurdled a defender for a TD! Four quarters later Central was on top! After the game, we got a photo with our TEs! #TightEndsTakePictures Record: 6-0 Next Opponent: Tift County Blue Devils

TCC Jackets 48 - Godby Cougars 13Week 6 started off with a JV win against Cairo 21-12 on Thursday! Coach has been the head JV man for several years (a few several programs) now and has never lost a JV game. Which is quite an accomplishment. Friday, we traveled back across state lines to battle the Godby Cougars. It was a great game. We thoroughly enjoyed Godby's Band; they had a great halftime performance. Four quarters later, Jackets were on top. Due to strict security, we were not allowed on the field, but did manage to get another Family Photo! Next week starts region play at the Jacket's Nest. Record: 5-0 Next Opponent: Veterans Warhawks Jackets BYE Week #1This week we celebrated Coach's Birthday on Monday. Gunner's celebrated Grandparents Day at school on Wednesday. We particpated in FamJam at our church of Friday night. It was a great off week! Record: 4-0 Next Opponent: Godby Cougars TCC Jackets 42 - Chiles Timberwolves 13Week 4 brought a road trip cross state lines to Florida to visit the Chiles Timberwolves. Road games always make me anxious ... Where am I going to park? Can I park next to the buses? Where am I going to sit? With who? Are they going to allow us on the field? Ect.
This week I knew the stands were going to be extra small and there would not be enough room for every Jacket Fan to sit on the visitor's side. Luckily, I was able to park next to the buses and sit with my road companion, Leslee. Coach had several worries about this game. The visitor's side had no power, which put a wrench in things. Not to mention Chiles had a 3-star running back. Not to mention, we are tired of the rain! Four quarters later, Jackets grab another win and another Family Photo on the Field! Record: 4-0 Next Opponent: BYE WEEK TCC Jackets 35 - Bainbridge Bearcats 14Week 3 brought another rivalry game against the Bainbridge Bearcats. It was our first pep rally of the year. I checked out Gunner man from school early so he could participate. Got some pictures with my Disney Bestie Coach Dallas. Our Jackets have not won a game against them in 5 years. As a new staff, winning the first 3 games were so important. The Bearcats came to the Jacket's ranked #5 in the state. Four quarters later, Central outgained Bainbridge even though we had penalty flags all over the place. Jackets Win! AND WE FINALLY GOT A FAMILY PHOTO! Record: 3-0 Next Opponent: Chiles Timberwolves TCC Jackets 31 - Thomasville Bulldogs 0Week 2 brings us to the Rose City Rumble. The Jackets faced off against cross-town rival the Thomasville Bulldogs. This game brings everyone and their mother to the stadium. Thomasville is the Big Brother and our Jackets have not won in quite some time. This is another important W - and we got it! Two lightening delays later, we were able to finish the game. This game is considered apart of the Marines Great American Rivalry Series! Jackets blanked those Bulldogs and our QB was named MVP of the Game! No family photo tonight, due to the nature of this game and the weather. I decided to get a sitter. But I did manage to grab one with Coach.
Record: 2-0 Next Opponent: Bainbridge Bearcats TCC Jackets 50 - Cairo Syrupmakers 7Week 1 was nothing but interesting. Before the game, we honored the TCC 92' State Championship Team. The boys were fighting for the Barnett's Creek Bucket. The Jackets have not had it since 2016, so it was mighty important that it be returned to Central. We fought the weather all night, with two lightening delays. Finally the game was called in the 4th Quarter with 9:37 left in the game - giving the Jackets the Dub! Again, no family picture tonight, Coach was too busy getting things off the field. I did get one with the Bucket! Record 1-0 Next Opponent: Cross Town Rival Thomasville Bulldogs TCC Jackets 67 - Cook County Hornets 21The Jackets came out on top! It was great to see our friends Dr. Slack and Coach Wheeler. I love and miss them dearly. Good to get our first win in the Jackets Nest. Didn't get a family photo tonight, Gunner Man was too excited about being on the field and getting to ride the bus back to the school. This was our Fall Scrimmage game; Week 1 starts August 19th. Until then Go Jackets! |
