Relief means a feeling of reassurance and relaxation from anxiety and distress.
Restoration means to bring back to former position or condition. Restoration can give you new purpose in life. Psalm 23:3 says " He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." KJV. We all need soul restoration because our soul gets damage. We all experience the 'Daily Dings" ... mistrust, hurtful words, let downs, bad accidents, mistakes, etc. Restore < -- > Renew Psalm 51:10-13 states, "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Then I will teach your ways to rebels, and they will return to you.” Relief does not restore our heart. Restoration is directly connected to Repentance. Repentance bring with it change in mind and a change in action. Relief is Offered by the World. It is a quick fix.
Signs You May Need Restoration
Steps to Restoration for Everyone
James 1:5-9 reads, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position.”

Adding to my favorite things list on Amazon it so fun! I have not done this in a while, but it is time!
Gunner had two items on the list this time - Mommy has two items - and Daddy has an item, that Mommy kinda likes. Favorite Things are <Linked Here>.
But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” - Galatians 3:13 NLT
Galatians 3:13 gives us a glorious picture of the redemption Jesus Christ purchased for us. The word “redeem” used in this verse is derived from the Greek word exagoridzo. It is a compound word: ex and agoridzo. The word ex is a preposition that means to bring out. The word agoridzo was the Greek word most notably used to describe the slave market — a disgusting place where human beings were bought, sold, and traded like animals. When theses words are joined together, it refers to a buyer or redeemer who has purchased a slave from the slave market for the sole purpose of freeing him/her from slavery. We are born slaves to sin. God so desperately wants us and to have a relationship with us. Jesus was willing to pay the ultimate price to own us and love us. Jesus’ sacrificial death didn’t only pay the penalty of our sin; His death removed us from living as slaves to sin forevermore. We must remember every day to take time in rejoicing in God’s purpose for sending Jesus to us. It is easy to forget to rejoice in difficult times. But, the story of our lives is not finished. God is strying to save your life and your families lives. Just look at this Biblical examples, Joseph (Genesis 37-50) and Daniel. In bad times, it is easy to think God has left you but the story isn’t over. God is still using his pen to write it. You have to hold on and wait for God to finish writing. “But the Lord said, ‘What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground!” – Genesis 4:10 NLT Our sins cry out to God for Judgement. This verse shows us God’s principles of both justice and mercy. God takes the responsibility for executing justice, as well as making a way for mercy to by achieved by the sinner. Jesus is the way; He came to earth to server, love, heal, teach, and change our sinful ways. Jesus came had his body broken and blood spilled for our mercy, grace, and forgiveness. JESUS HAS THE FINAL SAY – it is because He died and rose again. He is alive and with us always. Jesus is our living hope! Happy Easter! Gunner man has been two years old now for almost a month. We were able to sneak his birthday party in before the quarantine hit! I thought I would share the planning of his birthday party. His party was a huge it and everyone seemed to have a great time! For any party to be successful, I highly suggest you pick a theme. As Gunner gets older, I would imagine we will let him pick it. But since he is still little, Mommy and Daddy get to pick it. Which was easy, because he LOVES TOY STORY! Buzz's signature phrase is "Too Infinity and Beyond!" Change the Too to Two and Bippity Boppity Boo - There you have it! Next, search Pinterest - if you are going to have a Toy Story Themed party I have already done the work for you! My inspiration board is <Linked Here>. If you are like me and your house runs on a budget, I only pinned FREEBIES and inspiration ideas. The next thing I like to do is get organized. So, I make a folder in my Google Drive to store things like the guest list, shopping list, food list, etc. I only purchased a few items for his party and lucky for me, my Mom helped out in a big way! I have added all the items on a Amazon Shopping List <Linked Here>, but I will tell you to shop around. I was surprised by how much Walmart had for less.
Getting ready for Easter this year is just different. With everything going on it is hard to feel like rejoicing. As I was reminded this Sunday, more like challenged, enter each situation with a thankful heart; I am thankful that our home is turning into a better place of worship. Trying to juggle working and entertaining our 2 year old son has been interesting. This week, I was able to include him in decorating our home for Easter. I am sharing the activities here for you to enjoy the next few days! I will be providing links through out, but I have made an Amazon Shopping list <Linked Here> for those that need. First, Mrs. Amy Lemons shared a FREEBIE on her blog <Linked Here> for you to join in the Great Egg Hunt 2020. It comes with an activity and instructions along with examples. We colored our eggs and hung them in the window for our neighbors to share in the joy! See the picture below! Next, I found a cute coloring sheet from LinHop Art <Linked Here> for you to print. She posts daily Free Coloring Pages on her Facebook page <Linked Here>. Third, Paint Your Screen Door - I saw this going around Facebook. We have a glass screen door, so I hopped on the ban wagon! Grab some blue painter's tape and go at it! Then grab a brush, washable paints, and paint away! I think ours turned out okay; check out the pic below! Besides, Gunner enjoyed painting and playing in the water, at least for 10 minutes. Gunner has loved going outside and hunting for eggs. He totes his little basket around and puts all the eggs in it. He loves opening and closing the eggs. He could probably do that for hours if the gnats didn't bother him so bad. I purchased his Easter Egg Basket last year from Ruffles, Ribbons, and Lace <Linked Here>. Lastly, my Gunner Man loves to read ... sometimes we read books for hours. All the books mentioned below are <Linked Here> Here are a couple of suggestions:
Thankful - Adjective - Meaning: feeling or expressing gratitude; appreciative; conscious of benefit received; expressive of thanks; well pleased; glad
Thankfulness - Noun - Meaning: the state of thankful It is important to start your day with a thankful heart. Luke 17:11-17 (NIV) says, "Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?” We should always attach our faith to our thankfulness. In 1 Thessalonians 5:6-8 (AMPC) says, “Accordingly then, let us not sleep, as the rest do, but let us keep wide awake (alert, watchful, cautious, and on our guard) and let us be sober (calm, collected, and circumspect). For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night. But we belong to the day; therefore, let us be sober and put on the breastplate (corslet) of faith and love and for a helmet the hope of salvation.” We should walk through each situation with thanksgiving in our hearts. Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT) reminds us that we “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” We must fight, pray and walk in thanksgiving in order to cover our heart, spirit, and mind in it. Every moment thanking the Lord for our many blessings for every moment of the day. In this time of uncertainty, we have can say an extra thanks to our Lord for providing, uniting, and praising. |
