Relief means a feeling of reassurance and relaxation from anxiety and distress.
Restoration means to bring back to former position or condition. Restoration can give you new purpose in life. Psalm 23:3 says " He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." KJV. We all need soul restoration because our soul gets damage. We all experience the 'Daily Dings" ... mistrust, hurtful words, let downs, bad accidents, mistakes, etc. Restore < -- > Renew Psalm 51:10-13 states, "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Then I will teach your ways to rebels, and they will return to you.” Relief does not restore our heart. Restoration is directly connected to Repentance. Repentance bring with it change in mind and a change in action. Relief is Offered by the World. It is a quick fix.

Steps to Restoration for Everyone
James 1:5-9 reads, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position.”
