Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. - John 8:32Dear Coach's Wife,
Some days it is hard to seek the truth. Sometimes, we don't even want to face the truth. Jesus says that seeking the truth and living according to it can bring us freedom and liberation from sin and guilt. Remember the most enticing aspect of sin is the promise of freedom. We as Christens know the opposite to be true. Nothing enslaves more than sin - it corrupts everything. Worst of all, it separates us from God. Jesus represents the truth; HIMSELF. Nothing but truth, JESUS, can really free us. Our comfort should lie in the loving truth of Jesus. Even when the truth is not what we want to hear, we can't expect to make good decisions or right choices when we are operating un the control of a lie. True freedom is found in forgiveness of sin and service to God, and this is only found when we accept Jesus and his direction for our lives. Cheers, Mrs. Coach Windon
